Crystalline powder, very deliquescent, mp 149-152°. Hygroscopic. Very sol in cold water. Freely sol in alcohol. Insol in ether. Decomposed by hot water, alkalies. Keep tightly closed. LD50 in mice, rats (mg/kg): 20, 22 i.v., 170, 250 s.c., 3000, 2500 i.p. (Molitor).
