Properties
Yellowish powder. Cubic. d 3.78. Loses oxygen at 300° or higher. Studies
have shown that the compound does not correspond fully to Sb2O5, but that it is always somewhat hydrated. Slightly
soluble in water. Practically insol in HNO3. Slowly dissolves
in warm HCl or in warm KOH soln. LD50 i.p. in rats: 400.0 mg Sb/100 g (Bradley, Fredrick).Use
Flame retardant.
