Description and references
A degradation product of β-erythroidine. Prepd by heating β-erythroidine to 120° with phosphoric or sulfuric acid: Sauvage et al., Science 109, 627 (1947); by reacting β-erythroidine with concd hydrobromic acid at 100°: Koniuszy, Folkers, J.
