Dried bark of Aspidosperma quebracho-blanco Schlecht., Apocynaceae. Habit. Argentina. Constit. 0.3-1.4% alkaloids—aspidospermine, aspidospermatine, aspidosamine, quebrachine, quebrachamine, hypoquebrachine, quebrachol, quebrachit; tannin.

Use

Chlorinated quebracho can be used to control nematodes and other parasitic worms in soils: Santmyer, US 2799612 (1957 to Monsanto).
