Properties

White to slightly yellow, deliquesc cryst mass. mp ≈60°. Poisonous, oxidizer. Very sol in water, ethanol. Keep well closed in a cool place. LD50 i.p. in mice: 0.5 mg/kg (Venugopal, Luckey).

Use

Stiffening mantles in gas and acetylene lamps.
