Prepd by reacting piperidine with phenylchloroacetic acid ethyl ester in chloroform: Reetz, DE 859892 (1952 to Nordmark-Werke); from β-diethylaminoethyl phenylbromoacetate and piperidine in chloroform: Blicke et al., J.
