Leaflets from alc or water. mp 53°. Volatile with steam. Slightly sol in cold water, readily sol in hot water, alcohol, chloroform.

Caution

Potential symptoms of overexposure are headache, dizziness; lethargy, dyspnea; ataxia, weakness; methemoglobinemia; urinary burning; acute hemorrhagic cystitis.
