Chemical structure

Properties

White crystalline solid, mp 157.5-160°. Vapor pressure at 100°: 8 × 10-4 mm Hg. Soly in water at 20°: 815 mg/l. Moderately sol in strong aq bases, acetone, acetonitrile, ethanol. LD50 orally in rats: 5200 mg/kg (Sherman, Kaplan).

Caution
