Properties

Crystals. Slight acetic acid odor; becomes anhydr at about 130°. d 2.01. d (anhydr) 2.341. mp (anhydr) 255°. Freely sol in water; sol in alcohol. pH of 0.2 molar aq soln 7.1.

Use

Producing iridescent effects on porcelains and pottery; as a reagent for determination of S, Se, and Te; in cadmium electroplating.
