Description and references
Three isomers exist: The β-glycerophosphoric acid calcium salt, d(+)- and l(-)-α-glycerophosphoric acid calcium salt. Commercial product is a mixture of calcium β- and dl-α-glycerophosphates: Toal, Phillips, J. Pharm. Pharmacol. 1, 869 (1949). Prepn

Properties
Commercial product, fine, odorless, almost tasteless,
slightly hygroscopic powder; dec >170°. Sol in about 50 parts
water; almost insol in alc, boiling water. Soly in water is increased
by citric or lactic acid. The aq soln is alkaline.Derivative
Mixture with calcium lactate.
