Properties
Monoclinic, prismatic crystals or granular powder.
When heated above 300° it evolves spontaneously-inflammable phosphine.
Sol in water; slightly sol in glycerol. Practically insol in alcohol.
The aq soln is slightly acid.Use
As corrosion inhibitor; in nickel plating. Pharmaceutic
aid (retards oxidation of ferrous salts).
