Hydrate, odorless cryst powder. Sol in water
or alcohol. The aq soln is neutral, and has a bitter, astringent
taste.Therapeutic Category (Veterinary)
Has been used as an intestinal antiseptic,
in dusting powders for ulcers and in ophthalmic solns.
