Properties

Pungent, very hygroscopic gas. d (solid, -190°): 1.388. d (liq, -114°): 1.139. mp -114.0°. bp -83.1°. Heat of formation: 166.6 kcal. Instantly hydrolyzed by water. Poisonous, corrosive.

Caution

Potential symptoms of overexposure are irritation of eyes, skin, mucous membranes, respiratory system; eye, skin burns; lacrimation; cough, pulmonary edema, dyspnea; direct contact with liquid may cause frostbite.
