Sol in hexane, ethanol, xylene, acetonitrile, chloroform. Vapor pressure at 20°: 8 × 10-4 mm Hg. LD50 in rats, mice (mg/kg): 1-10, 20-50 orally; in rabbits (mg/kg): 20-200 dermally (Watkinson).

Caution

Potential symptoms of overexposure by ingestion, inhalation or absorption through eye or skin are headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps; excessive sweating, salivation, tearing; constricted pupils, blurred vision; chest tightening, weakness, muscle twitching, confusion; unconsciousness; convulsions; severe respiratory depression.
