Non-hygroscopic crystals contg ethanol of crystallization, mp 258-265° (dec). Sol in water, methanol, ethanol. pH of aq solns 4.7 to 6.2. Forms yellow, chloroform-soluble complex with bromcresol green, absorption max 420 nm.
