Crystals, dec 78-80°. Somewhat sol in alcohol, acetone; sparingly sol in ether, chloroform, petr ether; readily sol in acids, alkalies.

Properties

Crystals, mp 205°. Soly in water at 15°: 27.5 g/100 ml. Slightly sol in alcohol.

Use

Dihydrochloride as photographic developer, in fur and hair dyeing, in test for formaldehyde and ammonia.
