Crystals from ethanol, mp 51.2-52.5°. Mildly pungent odor. Very sol in DMF, acetone, chloroform, ethyl acetate, benzene. Sol in methanol, ethanol, ether. Insol in water.

Use

Preservative for latex paints, adhesives, latex emulsions, dispersed pigments, joint cements, metal working fluids.
