β-Adrenergic agonist. Prepd by catalytic hydrogenation of the corresponding aminoketone: Lespagnol, Cuingnet, Ann. Pharm. Fr. 18, 445 (1960). Only one of the two possible isomers, believed to be the “erythro” form, was isolated.
