Properties

Amorphous to cryst, white mass, mp 135-139°. Sol in water. Easily forms insol polymerization products. For the prepn of aq solns double distilled water and hard glass vessels are recommended. A 1.4-2% aq soln is thus possible.

Use

In fireproofing and creaseproofing of cottons, rayons.
