Properties
Golden yellow, cubic crystals. d (calc) 4.82. Very hygroscopic. mp 44.4°. bp 53°. Volatilizes on slow heating.
Reduced to IrF4 by halogens. Decomposes in aqueous soln.
Does not react with dry glass below 150°. May be stored in evacuated
quartz ampuls.
