Prepd by reduction of isonicotinic acid in glacial acetic acid in the presence of platinum oxide: Wibaut, Rec. Trav. Chim. 63, 141 (1944); by reduction of isonicotinic acid in H2O and concd HCl with PtO2: Sperber et al., US 2739968 (1956 to Schering); Freifelder, US 3159639 (1964 to Abbott).
