Cryst solid, mp 183-185°. Vapor press at 25°: <10-4 mm Hg. pKa 4.6. Soly at 25° (g/l): water 0.18; benzene 0.31; dichloromethane 2.1; 1-octanol 17; methanol 310; acetone 350. Aq solns decomp in uv light. Mildly corrosive to metals.
