Description and references

A member of the hasubanan alkaloids; also possesses an intramolecular hemiketal ring. Isolated from stems of Stephania japonica Miers, Menispermaceae from which the alkaloids stephanine and protostephanine, q.v. are also obtained: Kondo, Sanada, J. Pharm. Soc.
