Colorless liquid, mild odor. mp <84°. bp 194.1°. d2525 1.020. d25 1.017. nD27 1.4264. Flash pt, closed cup: 197°F (92°C). Viscosity (25°): 3.5 cP. Vapor pressure (20°): 0.19 mmHg. Miscible with water, alc, glycerol, ether, acetone, DMF. LD50 orally in rats: 9.21 g/kg (Smyth).

Use

De-icing additive for jet fuel. Solvent for paints, coatings and inks. Deactivator and stabilizer for pesticides.
