Emerald-green orthorhombic crystals. mp 229-230°. bp11 220-235°. d17 1.455. uv max (10-4M in CHCl3): 298, 265 nm (log ε 4.34, 4.44). Sol in water, alcohol, chloroform, benzene. Insol in ether, ligroin.
