Crystals, mp 261° (dec). Freely sol in water. Practically insol in abs alcohol and ether.

Properties

mp 240-242°. Very sol in water; slightly sol in alc (also reported as freely sol in alc); slightly sol in chloroform. Practically insol in ether, benzene, and acetone.
