Yellow crystals. d 1.331. mp 59-61°. bp 304°. Insol in water; sol in alcohol, freely in chloroform, ether, carbon disulfide. Gives a dark red soln with concd H2SO4.

Use

Deblooming petr oils, 2-3 parts suffice for 1000 parts oil; manuf dyes and intermediates.
