Volatile oil distilled from a Mexican wood (Bursera delpechiana Poiss. and probably other species of Bursera, Burseraceae). Constit. Linalool, geraniol, methylheptenone.
Properties
Colorless to yellowish liquid; pleasant odor.
d1515 0.875-0.890. αD -5 to -12°. nD20 1.4638. Slightly sol in water; sol in
2 vols 70% alcohol; sol in ether, chloroform. Keep well closed, cool and protected from light.Use
In perfumery.
