Volatile oil from leaves and tops of Tanacetum
vulgare L., Compositae. Constit. Thujone, borneol,
camphor.
Properties
Yellow liq; becomes brown on exposure to air and
light. Poisonous. d1515 0.925-0.950. αD +30 to
+45°. Almost insol in water. Sol in alcohol, chloroform,
ether. Keep cool in well-filled and well-closed
containers, protected from light.
