Properties
White or slightly yellowish-green, slightly efflorescent
crystals or cryst powder. Sol in about 0.5 part water. Also sol
in alcohol and in ether.Use
As reagent for alkaloids and many other nitrogen
bases, for phenols, albumin, peptone, amino acids, uric acid, urea,
blood, carbohydrates; as biological stain.
