Monoclinic prisms from benzene, mp 105.7-105.8°. Tends to sublime. bp100 272°; bp50 251.5°; bp15 223°; bp10 212°. 2.52 parts dissolve in 100 parts water at 13.5°; 5 parts dissolve in 100 parts water at 20°. Freely sol in alcohol, ether. Practically insol in cold benzene.
