Properties

Colorless, transparent crystals, white granules or powder. Sol in 2.8 parts water, 2 parts water at 50°. Almost insol in alcohol. pH: 8.2 (in 0.1 molar concn).

Use

In baking powders, effervescent salts. Buffer.
