Constit. Chiefly sabinyl acetate, sabinene; β-myrcene, terpin-4-ol, γ-terpinene, α-pinene, limonene.

Properties

Colorless or pale yellow liquid. d1515 0.903-0.923. αD +40 to +60°. nD20 1.470-1.478. Very slightly sol in water; very sol in alcohol. Keep well closed, cool and protected from light.

Caution

Potential symptoms of overexposure include queasiness, spasm, hematuria, central paralysis, unconsciousness. External application may cause skin irritation, blistering, necrosis (Gruenwald).
