Properties

Dark brown powder. Softens at 175°; mp 181-188°; dec completely at 260°. Practically insol in water. One gram dissolves in 15 ml chloroform. Sol in oils, fats, warm petrolatum, paraffin, phenol. Slightly sol in acetone, alcohol, benzene.

Use

Fat stain.
