Properties

Crystals with one H2O from water. After drying at 100° and 10 mm: mp 219-221° (evac tube). [α]D18 -80° (c = 10 in pyridine). uv max (ethanol): 320 nm. Moderately sol in hot water, alcohol; practically insol in ether, chloroform.
