Properties
Pale yellow liquid, bp2 136-139°. Poisonous. Vapor press. at 20°: 1.7 × 104 mm Hg. d425 1.196. nD25 1.4753. Soly in water:
25 mg/l. Miscible with most organic solvents. Corrosive to iron.
LD50 s.c. in
mice: 8 mg/kg (Holmstedt).Caution
Potential symptoms of overexposure
are eye pain, blurred vision, lacrimation and rhinorrhea; headache;
cyanosis; anorexia, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea; local sweating,
weakness, twitching, paralysis, Cheyne-Stokes respiration, convulsions,
low blood pressure and cardiac irregularities; skin and eye irritation.
