Prepared by the action of hydrogen selenide
on a soln of thallous carbonate: Kuhlmann, Bull. Soc. Chim. [2] 1, 330 (1864).
Properties
Dark gray plates with a metallic luster. mp 340° (Kuhlmann); mp 338° [Palabon, Compt. Rend. 145, 118 (1907); 173, 142 (1921)]. Insol in water and acids.
