Isoln from adrenal cortex: Steiger, Reichstein, Helv. Chim. Acta 21, 546 (1938). Prepn by reduction of allopregn-17-ene-3,17-diol 3,21-diacetate with osmium tetroxide: Serini et al., Ber. 72, 391 (1939).
