Prepd by treating arsanilic acid with chloroacetyl
chloride and NaOH: Streitwolf et al., DE 513210; GB 344532 (1929 to I. G. Farben).
Properties
Crystals from dil acid or water, mp 202-203°. Freely sol in hot water,
methanol. Sparingly sol in cold water, acetic acid. Practically
insol in acetone, benzene.Derivative
