Thymolphthalein

3,3-Bis(4-hydroxy-5-isopropyl-2- methylphenyl)phthalide; C₂₈H₃₀O₄ = 430.5 (125-20-2)

Produces a colourless solution in acidic and weakly alkaline solutions and a blue colour in more strongly alkaline solutions.
