Copper Sulfate VS
Copper Sulphate VS; CuSO4,5H2O = 249.7
For a 0.02m solution Dissolve 5.0 g of copper(ii) sulfate in water and dilute to 1000 mL with water.
Ascertain its exact concentration in the following manner. To 20 mL add 2 g of sodium acetate and titrate with 0.02m disodium edetate VS, using 0.1 mL of pyridylazonaphthol solution as indicator, until the colour changes from violet-blue to bright green. Titrate slowly towards the end point. Each mL of 0.02m disodium edetate VS is equivalent to 4.994 mg of CuSO4,5H2O.
