Tetrabutylammonium Iodide VS

C16H36IN = 369.4

For a 0.01m solution Dissolve 4 g of tetrabutylammonium iodide in sufficient water to produce 1000 mL.

Ascertain its exact concentration in the following manner. To 25 mL add 50 mL of 0.01m silver nitrate VS and 0.5 mL of 2m nitric acid and titrate the excess of silver nitrate with 0.01m ammonium thiocyanate VS using ammonium iron(iii) sulfate solution R1 as indicator. Each mL of 0.01m silver nitrate VS is equivalent to 3.694 mg of C16H36IN.
