Definition
Paediatric Co-trimoxazole Tablets contain, in each, 20 mg of Trimethoprim and 100 mg of Sulfamethoxazole.
The tablets comply with the requirements stated under Tablets and with the following requirements.
Content of trimethoprim, C14H18N4O3
0.0185 to 0.0215 g.
Content of sulfamethoxazole, C10H11N3O3S
0.0925 to 0.1075 g.
Identification
Comply with the tests described under Co-trimoxazole Tablets.
Assay
Carry out the Assays for trimethoprim and for sulfamethoxazole described under Co-trimoxazole Tablets.
