The honeymoon is a period when the planning and definition of all working aspects of the alliance are tested in a real situation. This is when the partners realize that their expectations were correct, or they were not. |

|
|
|
|
|
In almost every case, there will be bumps and grinds as the processes and procedures start to be implemented. There is also a customary learning phase when productivity declines in favor of bringing both parties up to speed on the project, its history, and fine details of each other's organization. |

This is also a period when not much really gets done. There is a lot of discussion and contemplation on how and when to do what was defined previously. During this time, there is either the realization that what the owner of the project thought was right is confirmed by the partner, or the opposite occurs.
