Description
Zika fever is an infectious disease caused by Zika virus (ZIKV), a flavivirus in the Flaviviridae family of +ssRNA viruses, and transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes. ZIKV was first isolated in 1947 in the Zika Forest of Uganda.
