Description
Laribacter hongkongensis is a facultatively anaerobic, nonsporulating, gram-negative, spiral rod-shaped bacterium belongs to the Neisseriaceae family of the subclass of Proteobacteria. L. hongkongensis was isolated from the blood and empyema of a cirrhotic patient and associated with freshwater fish-borne gastroenteritis and traveler's diarrhea.
