Description
Arcobacter butzleri is the best characterized of all Arcobacters and an emerging pathogen causes diarrhea, recurrent abdominal cramps and bacteremia. A. butzleri is isolated often from aqueous environments, multiple animals and food sources. In recent years, there is an increase in isolation from human diarrheal stool samples.
