Description
The genus Caulobacter is a gram-negative bacteria characterized by asymmetric cell division and stalk. Although infection with Caulobacter species is rare, a case has been reported in a patient undergoing intermittent peritoneal dialysis.

The isolate in the first report was found to be sensitive to meropenem, imipenem, erythromycin (disk only), aminoglycosides, tetracycline, chloramphenicol, and sulfadiazine.
