Stout prisms from water, dec 240-250°; slight acid taste. Slightly sol in water; freely sol in solns of alkalies and alkali carbonates. Stable at ordinary temps. MLD in rabbits, cats (mg/kg): 125-150, 150-175 orally (Anderson, Leake).
