Colorless liquid; unpleasant, pungent odor. Flammable, poisonous. Keep tightly closed. d420 1.398. bp760 71.3°. mp 119°. nD20 1.46545. Slightly sol in water; miscible with alcohol, chloroform, ether, carbon disulfide, carbon tetrachloride.

Caution

Direct contact may cause burns and tissue destruction of eyes, skin, mucous membranes and upper respiratory tract.
